The Uncomfortable Truth About Why You're Still Stuck
You know what you need to do.
Eat better. Move more. Sleep enough. Reduce stress.
You've read the articles. You've bought the books. You've downloaded the meal plans.
And yet, here you are. Still exhausted. Still brain-fogged. Still stuck.
Why?
Let's Address the Obvious First
Sometimes, it really is just laziness.
Sometimes you really are unmotivated.
Sometimes you genuinely don't want it badly enough to do the work.
And if that's you? That's fine. Own it. There's no shame in admitting you're not ready.
But if you're reading this, I'm guessing that's not actually your problem.
You're here because you DO want it.
You're here because you're exhausted from wanting it and not having it.
So the question isn't whether you want it.
The question is: What's actually stopping you?
The Excuses We Tell Ourselves
When I talk to people about why they haven't started working on their health, I hear the same things over and over:
I don't have time to meal prep or track my food.
I can't afford a coach right now.
I'll start after the holidays/vacation/when things calm down.
Everyone else eats like crap and they're fine (they are not fine, btw).
I've tried everything and nothing works for my body.
I'm just too tired to add one more thing to my plate.
Sound familiar?
Here's the thing about these excuses: they feel true.
They feel legitimate. Reasonable. Valid.
But they're not reasons.
They're shields.
They're what you say out loud to justify staying exactly where you are.
Because the real reasons you haven't changed yet? Those are much harder to admit.
What's Really Keeping You Stuck
Let me get blunt with you for a minute.
The real reason you haven't changed has nothing to do with time, money, or circumstances.
The real reason is fear.
You'd rather keep planning to start than risk finding out you don't have what it takes to follow through.
You're terrified of being the person who spent money on themselves and failed again because what does that say about you?
You don't want people to notice you're trying because if they notice and you fail, they'll know you couldn't do it.
You convince yourself that this level of exhaustion, bloating, irritability, etc is normal for your age.
You're afraid that if you actually commit and it doesn't work, you'll have to accept that maybe you really ARE broken.
This is the truth most people won't tell you.
Because it's uncomfortable. It's confronting. It forces you to look at yourself honestly.
But I'm not here to make you comfortable.
I'm here to help you get results.
The Pain Has to Outweigh the Fear
Here's what I know:
Change doesn't happen when you finally get motivated.
Change happens when staying the same becomes more painful than the fear of doing something different.
Right now, you're choosing the devil you know. The uncomfy known is better than comfier than the unknown.
The exhaustion is familiar. The brain fog is expected. The discomfort in your own skin is your normal.
And as much as it sucks, it feels safer than the unknown of actually trying and potentially failing.
But here's the question you need to ask yourself:
How much more are you willing to lose before you're ready?
How many more months of being too tired to show up for your own life?
How many more years of looking in the mirror and not recognizing yourself?
How many more moments of canceling plans, avoiding photos, and feeling like a shell of who you used to be?
When You're Ready, I'll Be Here
I'm not going to sugarcoat this.
Changing your health is hard work.
It requires honesty. Accountability. Discomfort. Consistency.
It means facing the truth about your habits, your excuses, and your fears.
It means being willing to look different, order differently, and prioritize differently than the people around you.
But it's worth it.
Because on the other side of that discomfort is energy. Clarity. Confidence. Vitality.
The version of yourself that you've been too scared to become.
So here's what I want you to do:
Stop making excuses.
Stop waiting for the perfect time.
Stop telling yourself you'll start Monday, after the holidays, when things calm down.
Admit the truth: You're scared.
And that's okay.
Fear is normal. Fear is human.
But fear shouldn't be the thing that keeps you from living the life you deserve.
When you're ready to stop letting fear run the show, book a free clarity call.
We'll talk about what's really keeping you stuck, what you've tried before, and whether we're a good fit to work together.
No pressure. No judgment. Just honest conversation.
Because the only way out of stuck is through.
And I'm here to help you get there.
