Rewild Your Nervous System. Reclaim Your Peace.
You're "too self-aware" but still stuck. Therapy helped, but you're still anxious, overwhelmed, and disconnected from your body. Sound familiar?
I'm here to guide you from dysregulation to deep peace through somatic healing that actually works.
I Get It. Because I've Been There.
Hi, I'm Kaitlyn, and I've lived through the depths of trauma, self-destruction, and feeling completely lost in my own body. Childhood abuse, disordered eating, depression, abandonment – I know what rock bottom feels like.
But here's what I also know: when it feels impossible, it's not. When you feel like you won't make it, you will. When you feel at a dead end, all that's between you and peace is a wall you need to knock down – and I'm here to help.
Named after the ancient Mediterranean goddess of transformation, The Astarte Company honors the sacred journey from wound to wisdom. I blend somatic healing, women's holistic health, yoga, and Ayurveda to help you regulate your nervous system and fall deeply in love with yourself.
This isn't theory. This is lived experience translated into healing practice.
Are You the "Over-Aware Overwhelmed Woman"?
You might be my person if you think or say things like:
"I know what my problems are, but I can't seem to fix them"
"I've done so much therapy and I'm still anxious all the time"
"I feel like I'm just going through the motions of life"
"I'm exhausted but I can't relax"
"I should be grateful for my life, so why do I feel so empty?"
"My body feels tense and I don't know how to make it stop"
"Everyone thinks I have it together, but I'm falling apart"
You're 25-40, maybe a mom, maybe not. You're intelligent, self-aware, and tired of being "strong" all the time. You've tried therapy, but you're still stuck in patterns that don't serve you.
You want to wake up feeling content instead of stressed. You want to love yourself instead of constantly criticizing. You want meaning, peace, and genuine happiness.
You've come to the right place.

My Story: From Broken to Brilliant…
Why I Do This Work
I used to hate myself. Like, really hate myself.
My mother was my first bully. Abandonment, neglect, and abuse shaped my childhood. By my teens, I was self-harming, struggling with disordered eating, and numbing out with drugs and alcohol. I became a teen mom feeling completely lost and broken.
But here's the thing about rock bottom – it gives you a solid foundation to build on.
Through years of inner work, somatic healing, and nervous system regulation, I transformed my relationship with myself and my body. I healed my inner child, reclaimed my confidence, and learned to treat my body as the sacred vessel it is.
Now I help other women do the same.
My Approach: Blunt Compassion
I'm not here to coddle you or tell you what you want to hear. I'm here to tell you what you need to hear, wrapped in deep care and understanding.
Because I've been in the depths of despair, I can hold space for yours without flinching.
I blend somatic work, women's holistic health, yoga, and Ayurveda into a seamless approach that teaches you how to live at a better baseline. Not just surviving – thriving.

Here's the thing: therapy is amazing for understanding your patterns, processing emotions, and gaining insight. But if you're here, chances are you've already done that work and you're still stuck.
Here's why:
Traditional Therapy: "Let's talk about why you feel anxious and understand where it comes from." Somatic Work: "Let's teach your nervous system how to actually feel safe so the anxiety naturally decreases."
The Missing Piece: Your body holds trauma that your mind can't think its way out of. When you experienced stress, trauma, or chronic overwhelm, your nervous system adapted to survive. Those survival patterns are still running in the background, keeping you in fight-or-flight mode even when you're logically safe.
Think about it: You can understand perfectly why you have trust issues because of your childhood, but your body still tenses up when someone gets too close. You know your anxiety is "irrational," but your heart still races when you have to make a phone call.
That's your nervous system, not your mind.
Somatic work addresses the root cause by:
Teaching your body how to recognize actual safety vs. perceived threat
Releasing trauma stored in your tissues and nervous system
Rewiring your automatic stress responses
Creating new neural pathways through body-based practices
The result? You don't just understand your patterns – you actually change them. Your body learns to relax. Your nervous system learns to regulate. The anxiety, overwhelm, and disconnection naturally decrease because we've addressed the source.
This isn't therapy replacement – it's therapy completion.

Absolutely not. Here's what most people don't realize: your nervous system doesn't distinguish between "big T" and "little t" trauma.
"Big T" trauma might be abuse, accidents, or major losses. But "small t" trauma can be just as impactful:
Growing up with a critical parent
Being bullied at school
Medical procedures as a child
Divorce, moving frequently, financial stress
Being constantly told to "calm down" or that your emotions were "too much"
Living in chronic stress or chaos
Plus, our modern world is traumatizing in itself: constant notifications, social media comparison, work pressure, global news cycles, and the pace of life that never lets our nervous systems rest.
If you feel disconnected from your body, struggle to relax, have trouble sleeping, feel anxious for "no reason," or find yourself overwhelmed by everyday stressors – your nervous system has adapted to survive, not thrive.
You don't need to have survived hell to deserve healing. You just need to be human.

Here's the beautiful thing: my work meets you exactly where you are.
If you're science-minded: Everything I do is rooted in polyvagal theory, neuroscience, and trauma research. We're working with your autonomic nervous system – the part that controls your heart rate, breathing, digestion, and stress responses. This isn't mystical; it's measurable.
What this looks like in practice:
Breathwork that activates your vagus nerve (the longest nerve in your body)
Movement that helps discharge stored stress hormones
Techniques that shift you from sympathetic (fight/flight) to parasympathetic (rest/digest) nervous system states
Body awareness practices that help you recognize your stress signals before they overwhelm you
If you're spiritually inclined: I deeply believe everything happens for a reason, that the universe is always supporting us, and that those little "God winks" are real guidance. Your trauma, your struggles, even finding me – it's all part of your soul's journey toward wholeness.
The magic happens when we blend both: Science gives us the roadmap, spirit gives us the trust to surrender to the process. Your nervous system is sacred technology, and healing happens in that beautiful space where practical meets mystical.
No matter where you land on this spectrum, the work is the same: helping your body remember it's safe so your soul can shine through. Whether you call it nervous system regulation or coming home to yourself – we're doing the same thing.
-
Honest answer: It depends on what you mean by "results" and how dysregulated your nervous system currently is.
But here's the real talk: Simply showing up to our calls isn't enough. You have to actually DO the work. This means practicing the tools I give you, being willing to make changes in your life, and trusting the process even when it feels uncomfortable.
Immediate shifts (first session):
Feeling more grounded and present
Noticing where you hold tension in your body
Learning at least one tool to calm yourself in the moment
A sense of relief that someone finally "gets it"
Short-term changes (2-4 weeks):
Sleeping better
Less reactive to daily stressors
More awareness of your triggers before they hijack you
Starting to feel safer in your own body
Deeper transformation (6-12 weeks):
Significant reduction in baseline anxiety
Improved relationships (you're not projecting your dysregulation onto others)
Increased capacity to handle life's challenges
Genuine self-love instead of self-criticism
Waking up feeling content instead of immediately stressed
Here's what affects timeline:
How long you've been in survival mode
Your willingness to practice between sessions (this is huge)
How open you are to making lifestyle changes (saying no to things that dysregulate you, prioritizing your nervous system)
Your commitment to trusting the process even when your mind wants to control everything
Other support systems you have in place
Whether you're dealing with ongoing stressors
Bottom line: This isn't a quick fix, but it's not a years-long journey either. Most clients feel significantly different within 2 months – IF they show up fully and do the work. Half-hearted effort gets half-hearted results.

No, I don't accept insurance. As a somatic practitioner and holistic health coach, I'm not a licensed therapist, so insurance coverage isn't available for this type of transformational work.
But here's why that's actually better for you:
What this means:
No insurance company dictating how many sessions you "need"
No diagnosis required in your medical records
Sessions focused on your goals, not insurance requirements
Immediate scheduling without pre-authorization delays
We work together until YOU feel complete, not until insurance cuts us off
Payment Options:
Payment plans available for all programs
Sliding scale pricing for those who qualify
One full scholarship available every six months for someone who truly needs it
Money mindset reality check: You probably spend more on coffee in a month than one session costs. You're investing in fundamentally changing how you experience life – your sleep, relationships, stress levels, and self-love.
Can you really put a price on waking up feeling peaceful instead of anxious?
If finances are genuinely tight, let's talk about sliding scale options. And if you're in a true financial crisis but ready to do the work, apply for the biannual scholarship – because everyone deserves access to healing.
